In October 2006, Cassidy was involved in a horrific car accident when a commercial truck rammed into the SUV he was using on his way to the studio with his friends.

As a result, he suffered severe injuries but was treated at the Jersey City Medical Center for broken bones in his face and a fractured skull.

Cassidy speaking about the accident says that “I was in a coma for about seven or eight days…and then they put me into a medicated coma so that if I woke up, I wouldn’t be traumatized by what I went through.

When I first woke up out of my coma, I had amnesia, so I couldn’t remember everything…the doctor told me that I suffered brain damage, but it was temporary.”

In 2007, Cassidy was again arrested in Jersey City by officers who were responding to a report made of a van that was reeking of marijuana. He was charged with the possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the police report.
