Yung Gravy’s father was previously married to Debbie Rea. He has a half-brother and two half-sisters, David Courard-Hauri, Heidi Hauri-Gill, and Katrin Kasper. Not much is known about Yung Gravy’s personal life. Though, it is known that he proposed to actress, Brandi Love on the 23rd of November 2018.

They never married and it would appear that the Twitter announcement was false. Brandi was already married to Chris Potowski at the time of the announcement – a social media prank perhaps?

Yung Gravy was a close friend of Chase Amik, otherwise known as 6 Dogs. Chase was a hip-hop artist from Atlanta. He committed suicide at the age of 21 on the 26th of January 2021. This prompted Yung Gravy to take a break from work to mourn the loss of his friend.

Yung Gravy’s first EP was called “Mr. Clean”. Sampling the classic 1954 “Mr. Sandman” the song was an instant success, attracting more than 11 million spins on SoundCloud.

With two semesters left of his university training, it became clear that “Mr. Clean” was a hit. Yung Gravy dropped one of his majors and finished one semester early to pursue his music career.

On the 11th of October 2017, Gravy released the next EP featuring his friend, bbno$. He called it “Baby Gravy”. The EP contained the tracks “Boomin”, “Gasoline” and “Rotisserie”.

Yung Gravy Reveals his Identity

At around the same time as the release of Baby Gravy, Yung Gravy revealed his face for the first time, releasing a music video of “Mr. Clean”. The was an immediate hit, becoming viral and quickly garnering 18 million YouTube views.

Yung Gravy’s identity had been a secret until the release of this video. Now he had become a recognizable celebrity.

In 2017, Yung Gravy decided to hit the road and go on the first tour of the United States. This was quickly followed by another. He was supported on the tour by artists such as Ugly God. He plays at sold-out concerts and has accumulated hundreds of thousands of internet followers.

Though he started off recording his tracks independently, the Republic Records Label now manages his music. He joined Republic Records in 2018 and he hasn’t looked back.

His 2018 EP, “Snow Cougar” earned Yung Gravy two platinum hits – one for “Mr. Clean” and one for “One Thot, Two Thot, Red Thot, Blue Thot”. Other songs on the EP included “Ice Cream Truck” and “Sandy”. The EP featured guest appearances by Ugly God and D.R.A.M.

The time had come for Yung Gravy to launch his first full-length album, Sensational. Debuted in 2019, It reached the top five on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. It also got to the 52nd position on the Billboard 200.

At the beginning of 2020, Yung Gravy and bbno$ collaborated on a new album and produced “Baby Gravy II”. He then moved to his mother’s home for the lockdown. He used this period to reflect on his music, saying that the time helped him to consolidate his ideas.

On the 2nd of October 2020, Yung Gravy released his first album, Gasanova. “Always Saucy” the first song on the album features TrippyThaKid and Ski Mask the Slump Dog. It samples “It’s Always Sunny in California”. Yung Gravy says he loves the song and had great fun making it.

In 2018, someone hacked into Yung Gravy’s Wikipedia page and claimed that the young singer had died. He quickly proved via his social media accounts that he was still alive.
