She was born to parents who came together during World War II. Albert Carotenuto was busy with a military tour in Germany when he met Linda’s mother Inge. After completing her high school education, Linda worked in Army Intelligence in Maryland. In October 1971, she married military officer Bruce Tripp and they had two children, Alyson and Ryan. In 1990, Linda and Bruce went their separate ways but remained friends.
